Are sometimes better than the originals.
This transforms a pop confection into a heartfelt love song...

Was this Gaslight, Horrible Crows or solo Fallon?
Edit: Found it.
Another good cut.

You have great taste. I love Brian Fallon. The Horrible Crowes album was awesome because he really showed how powerful his voice can be.
Looking forward to the solo album hes working on
*I never even listened to the song you posted. Just saw the still and kinda fanboy’d

I’ve been a fan since I worked a show on the ‘59 sound tour. That was like 2009 or so?
But then I always liked orgcore - Hot Water Music, Alkaline Trio, Against Me, etc. The grown-up punk rocker sort of stuff.

Among covers made better.
Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood, originally recorded by Nina Simone, covered by the Animals
Respect, originally sung by Otis Redding (and offering a different take on what he was expecting from his wife than what was) covered by Aretha Franklin and now preserved in the LoC.
Torn by Ednaswap that was covered by Natalie Imbruglia, her producer had worked with Ednaswap and thought Natalie had the voice to make it a hit.

I think Redding’s version of “Stand By Me,” is about the best, and Johnny Cash’s cover of NIN’s Hurt transforms it. Trent Reznor said, “It isn’t even my song anymore.”
